The Helping Hands Centre (formerly the Hilltop Centre) is a sustainable project in the heart of the community of Edlington, delivering a wide range of services. Trustees, staff and volunteers have developed a vacated infant school building to provide a community facility that has responded to community need. The size of the building and the site allows for the development of new projects and has the flexibility to respond to changing needs dating back to 2002. DMBC provide a long term lease of the building to the charitable company and this lease has over 20 years to run.

The aims of the organisation are to support the community, both socially and economically, with the relief of unemployment through job search facilities and health and well-being initiatives.

The strength brought to the project is in the volunteering of many people of all ages and backgrounds to help deliver our core services and provisons. There are lots of ways to start your Helping Hands experience and our team of dedicated staff and volunteers are on hand to assist and guide you through your journey. We believe the Helping Hands Centre is the largest community centre in Doncaster, providing the widest range of services.
