The Tickhill Big Lunch Project is a celebration of local groups, organisations and businesses and is a great event that is totally FREE for the community to attend. Everyone is encouraged to take a packed lunch along, and to then enjoy all the free activities and stalls.
You can visit the Tickhill Council website for more information about what will be available on the day. Happy Big Lunch!
The Be Online campaign takes place between 23rd February and 8th March, and aims for as many people as possible to discover the possibilities that open up when you’re online.
Being online can help you stay healthy and help you find work, it can entertain you and help you keep in touch with loved ones and the whole world. But 9.5 million people in the UK still don’t have the skills they need to make the most of everything the internet has to offer.
That’s why thousands of Be Online sessions will be taking place in hundreds of locations
across the country in cafes and pubs, Jobcentres and health centres, libraries and church halls. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never touched a computer or tablet before, or if you just need help to take full advantage of what’s out there, there’ll be an event to help you Be Online.
The campaign will focus on three key benefits of being online, being able to find and apply for work, finding information and online services to support your health, and how the internet can help with everyday things like managing your money, following hobbies and keeping in touch with friends and family.
Our dedicated team of volunteers are ready and waiting to help everyone in the community to Be Online. There are no costs involved, so why not come along for a taster session, and see what you think. You are sure to have a great time.
